Xibetek: a training platform serving local industry
The result of a partnership between companies, the ESTIA engineering school, the Lycée du Pays de Soule and local authorities, Xibetek was awarded the ‘Jury's Favourite’ prize at the Pau-Lacq stage of Territoires & Industrie in 2024.
Conceived as a driving force for industrial revitalisation and job creation, this initiative aims to meet the needs of companies in sectors as varied as aeronautics and agri-food. It also aims to raise the profile of technological professions by attracting young people to these strategic sectors.
Roll-out of training courses from September 2024
The first courses were launched at the start of the 2024 academic year, including the Systems Maintenance BTS with robotics option, marking the official launch of Xibetek. This evolving offer is based on specialised courses in 3D printing, robotics and cobotics, integrating mobile robots and augmented reality, as well as a section dedicated to robotic laser surface treatment. An ESTIA-labelled Bachelor's degree will soon complete the offer.
Designed in conjunction with companies, the education authority and ESTIA, these initial and continuing training courses are based on cutting-edge equipment and immersive teaching methods, in line with industrial realities.
The aim is to train immediately operational professionals, capable of working on modern industrial installations rather than on limited learning equipment. By the end of their course, graduates will have mastered the essential skills of programming and maintaining automated systems, as well as the challenges of safety, process monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Xibetek & ESTIA platforms
Xibetek benefits from the support of ESTIA and its technology platforms Compositadour and Addimadour, which make their advanced technology equipment available and support the development of training courses. Compositadour, in particular, plays a key role by providing industrial equipment enabling students to practise on machines used in companies.
With this in mind, Compositadour's engineers will be taking part in Industry Week, offering presentations and technological demonstrations to high school students from the Soule region.
The aim of these encounters is to arouse the curiosity of young people, offer them a first immersion in the industrial professions and make them aware of the career opportunities in these fast-changing fields.

By bringing together young people, companies and training establishments, this initiative promotes the attractiveness of industrial professions, while meeting the skills needs of local companies.
