The Meltio head: Addimadour's new tool!

Already equipped with a large number of machines, Addimadour is acquiring a new DED-Fil Laser (Direct Energy Deposition) head.

This new 3D metal printing solution will enable our additive manufacturing division to create small and large parts with greater precision, repair complex parts and add new functions to our robots.

This system, created by the Spanish company Meltio and marketed in France by Multistation, has very specific features:

  • 1200w laser power
  • Several 200 W direct diode lasers
  • 976 nm laser wavelength
  • Wire feed with a K300 coil up to two external wire drums
  • Metallic raw material from 0.8 to 1.2 mm
  • Plug and play external powder feeders with particle sizes from 45 to 90 um

The partnership established between Addimadour, Multistation and Meltio will enable the development of specific training in the use of this technology. Eventually, Addimadour would like to be a prime location for training in this new process and transfer the technology to other companies. Thanks to this facility, Addimadour will also be able to study the feasibility of customer parts by producing scale 1 prototypes.
