Compositadour, alongside MECANO ID and Maia Space, has been selected as the winner of the France 2030 mini and micro launcher project, financed by Bpi France, for the development of a French launcher nose cone manufacturing industry.
This opportunity represents a significant step forward for Compositadour, capitalising on our expertise in composites and our experience in manufacturing complex structures. As part of this project, our know-how will be put to good use in the development and industrialisation of robotic manufacturing processes adapted to the production of these large composite parts.
Our progress on this project to the end of April 2025
- The manufacture of the composite structure of our first of 4 demonstrators (3m high by 1.75m in diameter) by Compositadour, using robotised draping technology.
- Integration of the mechanism elements into the structure on the premises of MECANO ID.
- Validation of certain fundamental aspects, thanks to an initial scaled-down model of the HSS (Horizontal Separation System) which has just been integrated and tested.
The next step will be a separation testing scheduled for may this year. The aim of this test will be to validate the architectural choices made for the mechanisms and associated kinematics.
